New improved Process Improvement course materials
SMDP is pleased to release a new version of its popular Process Improvement course. Updated and streamlined to cut the course time in half, this highly interactive course allows work teams to practice internationally recognized methods to improve one of their own work processes. The participant workbook is available to all TEPHINET site members, and an instructors’ guide and PowerPoint are available to members with Instructor status.
Major revisions are:
-course content updated and streamlined, to reduce class time from 3 days to 1 1/2.
-class example changed to be more understandable to a wider audience
-simplified PowerPoint presentation
Participants will learn how to:
- Create a flowchart to illustrate a process
- Measure the performance of a process
- Use a methodical approach to analyze a performance problem
- Create a cause/effect diagram to determine the reasons for a problem
- Design and measure improvement
