Introduction to Leadership

This course provides a brief introduction to leadership, from the perspective that leaders are defined, not only by their title, but by their behavior. It can be taught in conjunction with Advocacy, Team Building, Coaching and Mentoring, Project Management or Building Health Programs that Work.

When participants complete this course they will be able to:

  • Explain the role of the leader in setting the tone of the work environment
  • Identify the necessary factors which motivate others to follow a leader
  • Explain the importance of effective communication with teams and work units

This course includes a participants workbook, facilitator guide, PowerPoint presentation and video. Equipment is required to run the video. It is highly recommended that equipment be carefully checked before class.
