CDC SMDP Global Health Leadership Forum

This group is for current and former Leadership Forum participants and speakers, as a means to continue collaboration and information sharing.

Meeting Health Challenges Through Leadership and Collaboration

The Forum is designed to assist senior leaders in Ministries of Health and other ministries in low and middle income countries who have health-related responsibilities to improve their effectiveness in leading health development in their countries.

Introduction to Leadership

This course provides a brief introduction to leadership, from the perspective that leaders are defined, not only by their title, but by their behavior. It can be taught in conjunction with Advocacy, Team Building, Coaching and Mentoring, Project Management or Building Health Programs that Work.

When participants complete this course they will be able to:


Effective Training from Start to Finish

This course is designed for subject matter experts who are given responsibility to teach adults about their area of expertise. Rather than a fictional exercise, participants use an example of a course they are planning to practice the concepts and skills.
