Utilization of Vaccination Service by Migrant Childrens in 3 Counties, Zhejiang Province, China, 2010

Background: Sharp rise in the number of migrants in Zhejiang Province pose serious challenges to the work of the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI). In 2005, a survey found that only 58% of migrant children in 3 counties (Beilun of Ningbo City, Jiashan of Jiaxing City and Shangyu of Shaoxing City) were recorded in EPI information system. We wanted to improve the vaccination service availability through strengthening children-finding-registrating survey. In April 2010, we investigated use of immunization services by migrant children in these 3 counties.
